How Do You Confess Jesus?

Matthew 10:32 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.”

I chose this verse to open up with because it made me think of how we act in public and how we confess Christ to men.  Many times we confess Him without even knowing it.  How do you dress when you are out in public?  On a nice, warm, sunny day in the middle of summer, do you dress appropriately for the heat or appropriate for a Christian?  How about with your family, or at work.  When you walk up to a group, do they tell dirty jokes when you are around or do they seem to change the subject?  If you never hear them using bad language, then you are doing what a Christian is supposed to do.  If they come up to you and try to tell you something you ought not to hear, then you have some work to do.  When in a restaurant or a family dinner, do you say grace or just start eating?  These are just a few areas for you to think about.  If you think about it, there are so many areas of our lives in which we confess Christ without even knowing about it.

Think about a typical day from the time you rise and the time you go to bed.  We have many opportunities to confess Christ to others, and maybe, someone will say something to you about the way you handle yourself.  I would venture to say this has already happened to many of you reading this.  What a great feeling it is when someone compliments you on your actions and your Christ-like manner in the way you act and treat others.  Well, I hope I have planted a seed that will grow in your hearts.

Please visit us on Sundays at 10:30 am, and Sundays at 6:00 pm.   We also have Bible study on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am, and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm.

If you have any questions on the Bible, about the church of Christ, or about the way we worship, please send us a note.  Go to the section that says CONTACT/LOCATION, and then to SEND A MESSAGE.  We will get back to as soon as possible.  If you live out of our area, we can help you to find a church of Christ in your area.  Here is something just for information, the church of Christ is the ONLY church mentioned in the Bible.  Romans 16:16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. The churches of Christ greet you.  If you truly want to worship God the way we are commanded to, then I would want to worship at the church that is mentioned in the New Testament.  If you feel you are ready to be baptized then please contact us immediately!

God Bless All and Godspeed
