Preaching the Word: At Home in Indiana
The Great Commission teaches us the importance of
preaching and teaching the gospel throughout the world and in every
nation (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15,16). Of course, this requires the
Lord's church to support and assist gospel preachers in their work (1
Corinthians 9:3-14).
At the Courtland Avenue Church of
Christ we take this responsibility very seriously. Since the church's
primary mission is to save souls, our collection on the first day of the
week is used mainly for this purpose (1 Corinthians 16:1,2). We do not
spend the Lord's money on frivolous things: entertainment, recreation,
social meals, etc. Instead, we try our best to use these material
blessings to promote this spiritual kingdom of Christ.
Below is a list of those preachers in Indiana that we
support on a monthly basis from Courtland Avenue, in addition to
our
local evangelist Joshua
Welch. Please pray that their work might be blessed and bear much
fruit for the Lord.
